Unlike other brands’ acid toners, Medik8 use a polyhydroxy acid (PHA) instead of AHAs or BHAs that can be drying and irritating on the skin when used daily. PHA Gluconolactone is a next-generation exfoliating acid, found naturally in the skin that acts as a moisture magnet and can be used twice daily. Providing anti-ageing and gentle exfoliating benefits similar to those obtained from AHAs, but without the sensitivity and ouch.
Press & Glow is a non-drying, non-sticky and non-stingy formula with 5.5% Gluconolactone – a high performing, water-soluble PHA that converts into gluconic acid to gently exfoliate and hydrate the skin. This is combined with Prickly Pear Extract (a natural enzyme activator) to help improve the clarity and luminosity of the skin, Acai Extract to help to take down any inflammation and Aloe Vera to reducing skin irritation and enhance the skin’s moisture retention properties.
